Free Money Lessons for Preschoolers Preschoolers might not know the difference between a nickel and a dime, but they do know how to pressure their parents to buy what they want! To help shape healthy spending and saving behaviors from an early age, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) now provides free resources for teaching preschool children basic money concepts. Thrive by Five: Teaching Your Preschooler About Spending and Saving includes eight activities that you can download at no charge to help teach young children:

- To help with the shopping
- About earning money
- About using money to buy something
- That when money is spent, it is gone
- That having fun does not have to cost money
